Membership and Utilization

The academic and administrative staff, as well as students of our University, are automatically registered members of the Library. Newly enrolled students are required to visit the Library and request account activation from the reference librarian before they can use the Library’s services.

Borrowing

  • You can check the call number and the library location of the book you want through katalog.medipol.edu.tr or by using the library catalog search computers.
  • Books can be borrowed through library staff by presenting your Turkish National ID Card, Medipol Student ID Card, or Driver’s License.
  • Academic Staff: May borrow up to 15 books for 45 days, with the option to renew for an additional 15 days or 90 days (semester-long renewal).
  • Administrative Staff: May borrow up to 15 books for 45 days, with the option to renew for an additional 15 days.
  • Students (Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD): May borrow up to 5 books for 30 days, with the option to renew for an additional 7 days.
  • Reference materials may be borrowed by all users for 3 hours only (e.g., encyclopedias, atlases, journals, handbooks, theses, etc.).

The borrower is responsible for all borrowed materials until they are returned.

Users are responsible for taking proper care of borrowed materials and returning them by the specified due date.

  • Users who have overdue materials cannot borrow additional items until the overdue materials have been returned.
  • All users are subject to a daily overdue fine for materials returned after the due date.

Electronic Library

  • Visit ekutuphane.medipol.edu.tr.
  • To access the system from off-campus, use your Medipol email address as your username and your Mebis password as your password.
  • You can find your Medipol email address in the “User Profile” section within Mebis.
  • If your email address and password are correct but you are still unable to log in, you can request support by sending a screenshot of the error message you receive to [email protected].
