ARTICLE 7- (1) All library users are required to follow the rules below. By using the library, users are considered to have accepted these rules.
- Eating or consuming any kind of food or drink inside the library is prohibited, except for bottled water with a lid and drinks in thermos bottles. The use of tobacco products is also prohibited. It is also prohibited to keep unauthorized food or drinks in the library, even if they are not consumed at the study tables.
- Talking on mobile phones, speaking loudly, engaging in behavior that may disturb other library users, or making noise while studying is prohibited in the library.
- Users may not reserve or occupy tables for themselves or others by leaving books, bags, or other personal belongings on tables when they are not using them.
- Areas in the library that have not been used for more than 30 minutes may be made available to other users. If library staff notice this situation, they may warn the user and make the table available to other users.
- Users who damage any library resources or other materials and/or attempt to take them out of the library without permission will be subject to legal action.
- Books taken from the shelves should be left on the tables and should not be returned to the shelves. If a resource cannot be found on the shelves, users should ask library staff for assistance.
- Group work and studying aloud are not allowed except in the designated areas of the library.
- Recording is not allowed inside the library without permission using cameras, mobile phones, tablets, or similar devices.
- The location of library equipment, such as computers, tables, and chairs, may only be changed by library staff.
- Users may not enter the library before opening hours. Users must leave the library 15 minutes before closing so that general checks can be carried out.
- Users who are ending their relationship with the University must return all borrowed materials and pay any outstanding late fees before completing their departure procedures.
- Users are responsible for returning borrowed materials on time. Failure to receive an e-mail reminder about the return date for any reason does not exempt the user from paying the late fee.
- Medipol e-mail addresses provided to users are the official means of communication. The library is not responsible for e-mails that do not reach users.
- Users may not use equipment or other materials belonging to library staff without permission.
- Users may not reproduce an entire library resource by photocopying or any other method. (The use of printed and electronic resources is subject to Law No. 5846 on Intellectual and Artistic Works and the terms of the license agreements made with information providers.)
- Users may report library-related problems to library staff and ask for assistance. However, complaints or objections that are not submitted in writing are not considered official.
- A study table reserved for users with disabilities must be vacated and made available to a user with a disability when needed.
- Library users are responsible for taking care of their personal belongings. The library administration cannot be held responsible for any theft or loss of personal belongings.
