
Within the scope of the EKUAL Project carried out by TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM, a new “Read & Publish” agreement has been signed with Cambridge University Press for the 2026–2028 period. This agreement supports both access to academic content and the publication of Open Access (OA) articles.

- Agreement Validity Period: 2026–2028
- Scope: Funded Journal List (The agreement covers unlimited Open Access (OA) article publishing in both hybrid journals and gold (fully) open access journals.)
- National Quota (Türkiye): Unlimited
- Agreement Details:
- Corresponding Author Requirement: The corresponding author must be an active member of the university’s academic staff. An institutional email address must be used in the application form (@medipol.edu.tr).

The rules for making previously published articles Open Access under the agreement are as follows:

Publications in Hybrid Journals: Articles published as closed access in hybrid journals between January 1, 2026 and the agreement signing date (February 16, 2026) may be converted to Open Access free of charge, upon request of the author(s) (notification must be sent to [email protected]) and with the approval of TÜBİTAK ULAKBİM.
No refunds will be provided for articles in hybrid journals that were already published as Open Access with an APC payment. -
Publications in Fully Open Access Journals: No refunds will be provided for articles published as Open Access in gold open access journals with APC payments between January 1, 2026 and February 16, 2026.
