Within the scope of the EKUAL Project carried out by T\u00dcB\u0130TAK ULAKB\u0130M, a new \u201cRead & Publish\u201d agreement<\/strong> has been signed with Cambridge University Press for the 2026\u20132028 period. This agreement supports both access to academic content and the publication of Open Access (OA) articles.<\/p>\n

Scope:<\/strong> Funded Journal List<\/strong><\/span><\/a> (The agreement covers unlimited Open Access (OA) article publishing in both hybrid journals and gold (fully) open access journals.)<\/li>\n
National Quota (T\u00fcrkiye): Unlimited<\/i><\/strong><\/li>\n

Corresponding Author Requirement: <\/strong>The corresponding author must be an active member of the university\u2019s academic staff. An institutional email address must be used in the application form (@medipol.edu.tr).<\/li>\n

The rules for making previously published articles Open Access under the agreement are as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Publications in Hybrid Journals: Articles published as closed access in hybrid journals between January 1, 2026<\/strong> and the agreement signing date (February 16, 2026<\/strong>) may be converted to Open Access free of charge<\/strong>, upon request of the author(s) (notification must be sent to ukg@ulakbim.gov.tr<\/a><\/strong>) and with the approval of T\u00dcB\u0130TAK ULAKB\u0130M<\/span><\/span>.
No refunds will be provided for articles in hybrid journals that were already published as Open Access with an APC payment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

Publications in Fully Open Access Journals: No refunds will be provided for articles published as Open Access in gold open access journals with APC payments between January 1, 2026<\/strong> and February 16, 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
